I can personally vouch for the Sanyo Eneloop batteries. They came pre-charged and work great in my electricity sucking Bose headphones which eat batteries like candy!  No more non-rechargeable for me thanks! We have made many strides since the first generations of rechargeables with their low power, slow charging, memories, etc.
